Requirements

  • Master’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain, Engineering, Math, Finance, or Operations Research; or Bachelor’s degree in related fields with additional years of experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s/MBA, or 8+ years with a Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, demand planning, and inventory optimization
  • Proven data-backed skills with the ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights
  • Proficiency in statistical forecasting and demand planning techniques
  • Expert-level skills in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Advanced Planning applications and ERP systems
  • In-depth knowledge of the SIOP process and its implementation in a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product lifecycles, including new product introductions and end-of-life planning
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
  • Proven communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain best practices

Responsibilities

  • Manage and participate in cross-functional SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) meetings to develop best-in-class demand plans and optimum supply strategies
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Finance teams to develop monthly and quarterly forecasts for mid-term and long-term planning
  • Partner with NPI, Engineering, and Marketing teams to comprehend product lifecycles, develop buffer strategies, and plan for new product launches and end-of-life (EOL) products
  • Review and enhance statistical forecasting models to improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Examine historical data, shipments, and consumption patterns to make informed conclusions on inventory management
  • Manage safety stock and inventory targets across various regions and plants
  • Work closely with manufacturing, planning, regulatory, and facilities teams to develop and implement buffer strategies for building moves and regulatory restrictions
  • Develop capacity and material-constrained build plans through cross-functional partnerships
  • Conduct scenario planning for various demand and supply situations, articulating different options and their potential impacts
  • Present relevant data and insights in cross-functional SIOP meetings
  • Monitor performance against plans and forecasts, driving corrective actions and mitigation plans as needed
  • Participate in long-range planning and inventory optimization initiatives
  • Drive improvements in key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, fill rates, and inventory attainment
  • Manage projects to enhance operational efficiency and profitability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve MPS/MRP issues for demand propagation
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required (0-15% of the time)
