Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 6 years of aerothermal or systems integration experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Aerospace or equivalent industry.

  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems integration and requirement flowdown to preliminary design, performance, operability, controls and transient analysis disciplines.
  • Provide systems integration and requirement flowdown to fuel sub-systems, electrical sub-systems and test facility.
  • Ensure control systems tech maturation plans support a competitive next generation product offering.
  • Ensure engine and rig test plans capture tech maturation and risk burndown objectives.
  • Requirements and design integration of thermodynamic engine cycle model.
  • Requirements and design integration of FADEC control software.
  • Define and manage workscope, schedules and deliverables to ensure a successful program execution.
  • Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.
  • Manages interface between design, systems, and execution organizations.
  • Provides forward looking strategy for platforms and technology development / insertion to make product competitive.
  • Defines and provides scope management. (defines the what).
  • Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline.
  • Serves as best practice/quality resource.
  • Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area.
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Exposure to aviation engine design, SPOCT, and certification requirements.
  • 10 years of experience in design/development of turbomachinery.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Communicate and coordinate clearly with internal and external partners.
  • Communicate concisely and appropriately with both internal and external senior leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Passionate about giving & receiving mentorship.
  • Prior experience working with global cross-functional teams.

  • 10 years of experience in an Engineering position, especially with global and cross functional teams.
