Requirements

  • PhD, Masters, or Bachelor’s Degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.)
  • 8+ years of experience using analytical and statistical methods to support and drive critical business outcomes
  • Expert communicator who can break down complex technical concepts into simple business vernacular
  • Experience across a variety of analytical domains that allow you to bring unique perspectives to solving hard problems
  • Demonstrated success driving business strategy and outcomes from an analytics lens
  • Advanced experience with SQL, business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Mode, Looker, etc.)
  • Experience with ETL processes, especially utilizing dbt and Snowflake
  • Track record of using quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive decisions
  • Biased for action – knows when to not let perfect be the enemy of good enough, while also can effectively highlight the tradeoffs/risks of moving too quickly too soon
  • Strong ownership mindset with a deep natural curiosity to dive into the details and understand how systems work

Responsibilities

  • Improve our understanding of key Flex domains by creating scalable frameworks that connect dots across the business into easily interpretable outputs
  • Proactively and effectively root cause data and performance issues across the business in order to ensure continued strong performance
  • Create and improve dashboards, visualizations, and automations that help us scale analytics across Flex
  • Work to establish clear causal links between actions and outcomes through experimentation and other relevant methods, where applicable
  • Combine data and strategy – being that bridge between what the data is telling us and the implications for strategic priorities within different areas of the business
  • Champion best practices, precise and consistent terminology, and robust documentation within Analytics and more broadly across the organization
