Requirements
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in marketing operations, communications, or program management, preferably in a large matrixed organization or healthcare setting.
- Experience leading editorial planning and campaign execution across internal and external channels.
- Strong track record of stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the integrated marketing and communications calendar, aligning all initiatives with SO&G’s strategic imperatives.
- Lead cross-functional project planning and execution from intake to delivery — ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met across teams and channels.
- Oversee campaign operations and creative workflows for internal and external initiatives across SO&G, Customer Operations, Remote Sales, and Masters.
- Guide the editorial planning process across channels (email, SharePoint, digital, social, event content, internal comms) ensuring cohesive messaging and brand alignment.
- Maintain a forward-looking content roadmap in partnership with senior stakeholders and content creators.
- Ensure all messaging is aligned with McKesson’s tone, voice, and values — and customized for key audience segments.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand goals and priorities, translating them into actionable communication plans.
- Act as a strategic advisor on campaign approach, audience engagement, and creative development.
- Help position the Shared Services Business Solutions (SSBS) team as a trusted partner and strategic resource across SO&G.
- Partner with internal creative resources and vendors to bring campaigns to life across print, digital, and multimedia formats.
- Identify opportunities to streamline creative requests, improve intake processes, and increase impact.
- Contribute creative thinking to key initiatives such as national sales meetings, product launches, recognition campaigns, and customer outreach.
- Establish and track KPIs for communication and campaign performance; provide reporting and insights that improve effectiveness over time.
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize processes, drive innovation, and improve stakeholder satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills; experience with Asana or similar tools is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with a creative edge — able to translate complex ideas into compelling campaigns.
- Strong communicator, facilitator, and collaborator; adept at building relationships and influencing across functions.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions and optimize processes.
