Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent experience and demonstrated ability required
- Minimum six – ten years of experience as a software developer or other relevant IT discipline with demonstrated proficiency across multiple current technology disciplines required
- Strong preference for candidates with demonstrated experience as a full stack developer
- Mastery in the full software development life cycle, dynamics of applications development projects, and agile software development practices required
- Working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, FERPA, GLBA, PCI, etc.) as they relate to data integrity and privacy preferred
- Education Industry experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Develops and configures integrated solutions across complex, medium to large systems.
- Leads complex development efforts in multiple technologies, escalating only the most advanced issues.
- Designs with performance, scalability, and optimization in mind; proactively monitors and refactors systems.
- Maintains system quality by testing, establishing and enforcing coding and process standards.
- Resolves critical production issues and mentors’ peers through technical guidance and hands-on troubleshooting.
- Leads IT-business meetings, translating technical insights into actionable recommendations.
- Builds trust by consistently meeting timelines and providing business-driven, scalable solutions.
- Uses domain knowledge across multiple business areas to identify needs and suggest tailored technology solutions.
- Promotes data-driven decision making by analyzing data to uncover insights and support strategic goals.
- Coaches peers and junior staff, contributing to team growth and serving as a technical mentor.
- Encourages continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities to reduce production support load.
- Fosters innovation by embracing and implementing new technologies and creative problem-solving approaches.
- Collaborates effectively and thrives within abstract, complex environments with a self-directed mindset.
