Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on AWS cloud-based solutions
- 5+ years of proven expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- 5+ years of experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Step Functions), CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)
- Strong experience in SQL, data modeling, performance tuning, and leveraging structured data (e.g. parquet)
- Familiarity with TypeScript
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain key analytic tools and provide data driven insights to our stakeholders.
- Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts.
- Able to successfully lead large, complex systems design and implementation challenges independently.
- Build data expertise and leverage data controls to ensure security, compliance, data quality, and operations for allocated areas of ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience with dbt.
- Experience with open table formats like delta lake, iceberg.
- Experience working on Linux Systems and command-line tools.
- At ease within the open-source environment.
