Requirements

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible project, commercial, technical business or equivalent SCM experience within oil and gas or a related industry
  • Significant experience negotiating utility-scale ($100M+) agreements with service suppliers as it relates to Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) scopes of work in the Power/Renewables industry
  • Meaningful understanding of terms and conditions (T&Cs) clauses while working alongside Projects, Legal and relevant stakeholders to provide cost savings for the company
  • Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders/customers without authority
  • Strong business acumen and keen desire to increase knowledge in Power/Renewables business area supported

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the commercial strategy for utility-scale Power Projects under development and in execution
  • Proactively engage Business/Projects Development at earliest stage (in advance of SCM Plan) to ensure supply chain risks and opportunities are embedded into customer proposal narratives, commercial agreements and early class estimates
  • Work collaboratively with Business Units, other Business Partners and SCM Contracts to address service contracting requirements for utility-scale Power Projects
  • Actively lead and participate in terms and conditions (T&Cs) negotiations with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors as it relates to utility-scale Power/Renewables Projects
  • Maintain a deep understanding of project or portfolio success factors and then identify and proactively champion SCM opportunities to create value
  • Responsible for planning, reporting, and communicating on SCM activities. Contributes to appropriate risk mitigation plans and processes for the portfolio managed.
