Sr. Revenue Accountant

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field
3-4 years of relevant experience in public accounting or a SaaS company
Strong understanding of ASC 606 with practical experience in its application, including SSP studies, fair value-based revenue recognition, contract combination/modifications, and variable consideration
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience supporting SEC reporting, including assistance with drafting footnote disclosures
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience reviewing the work of junior team members and providing mentorship on professional development and technical accounting principles.

Review complex customer contracts for ASC 606 considerations and assess operational impact
Mentor and train junior team members on ASC 606 topics
Research revenue accounting standards and document positions on specific technical accounting topics
Address external audit questions related to revenue, and communicate policy positions to external auditors. Educate and train junior staff on audit goals and requirements
Perform monthly accounting close activities and deliverables for revenue and related areas, including performance of revenue review controls, creation and issuance of customer invoices, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses, and related reporting and disclosures
Assist in the design and implementation of internal controls over revenue reporting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and streamline processes
Participate in the design and user acceptance testing for ERP and CPQ system enhancements
Perform other accounting duties as assigned
