Requirements

  • Master’s Degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience providing analytic support to senior scientists
  • Must be proficient with a multitude of Windows based, email and internet computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience within research statistical programs such as SPSS/ SAS
  • Must have experience preparing and analyzing data files for research abstracts, reports, manuscripts, and presentations
  • Must complete CITI/ HIPAA training (within 6 months of hire)
  • Must be able to obtain/ maintain a T3 security investigation

Responsibilities

  • Provides analytic support to the HQ Research Section
  • Provides input on operational procedures to increase efficiency, productivity and make overall improvements for the program
  • Assists in conducting in depth literature searches and reviews specific to TBI related topics with particular emphasis on emerging technology and developments in TBI clinical research
  • Participates in the development of research abstracts, posters, presentations, reports, manuscripts
  • Attends and presents research findings at conferences and meetings as appropriate
  • Supports TBICoE’s TBI research studies that are in alignment with DoD’s identified TBI research gaps and priorities as well as ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies
  • Develops and/or maintains professional relationships with other stakeholders
  • Prepares requests for actions/proposals to include assisting with grant proposal applications, their associated documentations, and requirements
  • Facilitates the collection of quality data from various studies or agencies
  • Coordinates meetings as needed, for example, with the Service POCs and other agencies for TBI
  • Works collaboratively with team members
  • The incumbent may assist in the development, reporting and analysis of study/ program performance with relevant metrics
  • Adhere to legal, professional, and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy
  • Assists in collection and summation of data for “taskers”
  • Other duties consistent with the above responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public health or neuroscience
  • Authorship on publications in peer reviewed medical/ scientific journals
  • Knowledge related to program/ project improvement program evaluations, process improvements, improving quality, reducing costs and establishing appropriate process metrics and process controls
  • Prior experience within the DoD/VA systems of care
  • Current or previous experience with TBICoE or TBI research
