Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience working in an aerospace, production, mechanical, military, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience designing test setups related to mechanical systems
  • Eligible for employment in the US, Options: none, US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
  • Fundamental understanding of electro-mechanical systems, such as engine test stands or dynamometers
  • Experience with data acquisition systems
  • Fundamental understanding of two stroke engines and fuel systems
  • Experience with tools and equipment related to engines
  • Demonstrated track record of assuming ownership over development processes and features and delivering outstanding outcomes
  • Track record of successfully shipping products, showcasing the ability to navigate through development cycles, overcome obstacles, and deliver high-quality solutions to meet project deadlines and exceed client expectations in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in English

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test production engines, fuel tanks, and ignition systems.
  • Assemble, test and calibrate production rotor systems and related components.
  • Perform propulsion systems development, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Troubleshoot failure modes and provide photo documentation and feedback to engineering
  • Operate manual machine tools, rill, lathe, mill, dyno etc.
  • Align, fit or assemble propulsion system component parts, using hand or power tools and fixtures
  • Maintain part inventory and order replacement inventory as needed
  • Review of documentations including drawing, schematics, and Bill of materials
  • Assisting with manufacturing/ production / quality process improvement
  • Develop work instructions, test procedures and quality documentation
  • Maintain shop cleanliness
  • Adhere to tool control and safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade School
  • Aviation production and manufacturing experience
  • FAA A&P, ASE or equivalent mechanical certification
