Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience working in an aerospace, production, mechanical, military, or manufacturing environment
- Experience designing test setups related to mechanical systems
- Eligible for employment in the US, Options: none, US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
- Fundamental understanding of electro-mechanical systems, such as engine test stands or dynamometers
- Experience with data acquisition systems
- Fundamental understanding of two stroke engines and fuel systems
- Experience with tools and equipment related to engines
- Demonstrated track record of assuming ownership over development processes and features and delivering outstanding outcomes
- Track record of successfully shipping products, showcasing the ability to navigate through development cycles, overcome obstacles, and deliver high-quality solutions to meet project deadlines and exceed client expectations in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in English
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test production engines, fuel tanks, and ignition systems.
- Assemble, test and calibrate production rotor systems and related components.
- Perform propulsion systems development, fabrication, and assembly.
- Troubleshoot failure modes and provide photo documentation and feedback to engineering
- Operate manual machine tools, rill, lathe, mill, dyno etc.
- Align, fit or assemble propulsion system component parts, using hand or power tools and fixtures
- Maintain part inventory and order replacement inventory as needed
- Review of documentations including drawing, schematics, and Bill of materials
- Assisting with manufacturing/ production / quality process improvement
- Develop work instructions, test procedures and quality documentation
- Maintain shop cleanliness
- Adhere to tool control and safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade School
- Aviation production and manufacturing experience
- FAA A&P, ASE or equivalent mechanical certification
