Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on data schemas, data flows, and interfaces
- Strong understanding of relational databases, specifically Aurora Postgres
- Experience with data modeling, schema design, and SQL
- Basic understanding of Data Integration Patterns and Tooling including ELT/ETL, EII, Replication, Event Streaming, and Virtualization to support batch and real-time data needs
- Knowledge of API design and development
- Proven experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a cross-functional team
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the product vision and strategy for data schemas and interfaces in Aurora Postgres
- Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog to ensure the team is working on the most impactful items
- Work closely with stakeholders, including application teams, to gather requirements, understand needs, and ensure alignment on objectives
- Conceptualize and contribute with data team on financial planning data (Entity relationship Diagram) to be structured in the database to support application features
- Participate in the implementation of data schemas in Aurora Postgres, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry standards
- Analyze and design data flows to ensure efficient data movement and integration across systems
- Awareness of data governance and compliance regulations specific to the financial planning sector
- Define and expose interfaces for application teams to consume data, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet security standards
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of data schemas, data flows, and interfaces to support ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the accuracy and quality of data schemas and interfaces
- Work with the team to establish KPIs and success metrics for the product deliverables
- Continuously evaluate and improve the product management processes and practices within the team
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
- Product owner certification preferred
