Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on data schemas, data flows, and interfaces
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, specifically Aurora Postgres
  • Experience with data modeling, schema design, and SQL
  • Basic understanding of Data Integration Patterns and Tooling including ELT/ETL, EII, Replication, Event Streaming, and Virtualization to support batch and real-time data needs
  • Knowledge of API design and development
  • Proven experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire a cross-functional team

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the product vision and strategy for data schemas and interfaces in Aurora Postgres
  • Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog to ensure the team is working on the most impactful items
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including application teams, to gather requirements, understand needs, and ensure alignment on objectives
  • Conceptualize and contribute with data team on financial planning data (Entity relationship Diagram) to be structured in the database to support application features
  • Participate in the implementation of data schemas in Aurora Postgres, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry standards
  • Analyze and design data flows to ensure efficient data movement and integration across systems
  • Awareness of data governance and compliance regulations specific to the financial planning sector
  • Define and expose interfaces for application teams to consume data, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet security standards
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of data schemas, data flows, and interfaces to support ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the accuracy and quality of data schemas and interfaces
  • Work with the team to establish KPIs and success metrics for the product deliverables
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the product management processes and practices within the team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Product owner certification preferred
