Sr Principal Systems Engineer – NG Space Systems

8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters’ degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Active Secret Clearance at time of application
Experience with Mission Operation Centers (MOC)
Experience with Network Designs
Perform trade studies and system analysis to evaluate design options and recommend optimal solutions
Support the development of detailed technical documentation, including interface control documents (ICDs), requirements specifications and network diagrams
Proven expertise in network design, including LAN/WAN architecture, routing, switching, firewalls, and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes
Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts
Demonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and approaches

Define, develop, decompose, analyze, allocate, verify, and validate requirements for Mission Operation Centers (MOC)
Conduct system performance and functional analysis, interface definition, risk identification and mitigation, system integration and compatibility analysis
Define and maintain the technical baseline and documentation
Drive the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission

Understanding of Ground System architecture including Spacecraft Command and Control (C2), TT&C, and industry establishments (FORGE, EGS, Cornerstone, Raptor)
Experience with Agile development
Effective communication and presentation skills
Excellent technical writing and team building skills
Active DoD Top Secret and/or SCI clearance
