Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining analysis tools in C++, MATLAB and Python
- Proficiency in C++ development in a Linux environment
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Python toolchains
- Experience designing, implementing and testing guidance algorithms
- Experience tuning, implementing and testing autopilot parameters for missiles
- Travel 25% of the time
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, implements, verifies and tests algorithms and software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, submersibles, surface ships, missiles, launch vehicles and upper stages during powered and coast phases of launch, flight, earth orbit, interplanetary cruise and orbital insertion, as well as during staging events
- The Engineer/Principal GNC Engineer will design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains
- The candidate will be working on a 6 degree of freedom (6DOF) simulation to design and test missile flight code
- The applicant will be creating and implementing 6DoF simulation models to evaluate system performance
- The candidate should be able to mentor early career engineers

- Experience working with GNC algorithms for hypersonic missiles
