Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
  • Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile process execution
  • Familiarity with Atlassian collaboration tool set (Jira, Confluence, Fisheye, Crucible)
  • Experience designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing hardware and/or software for mission or flight avionics systems for airborne platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the EI&E Avionics and Software Director and PEM leads with managing horizontal integration and infrastructure across the program. This is inclusive of discipline metrics development and maintenance.
  • Responsibility for Avionics and Software tools and training and primary liaison for these enablers between discipline, program, and enterprise organizations and other relevant stakeholders
  • Serving as the disciplines’ primary interface to the Digital Engineering Ecosystem (DEE)
  • Responsibility for EI&E Avionics and Software organization Agile execution
  • Supporting Avionics and Software front line managers and technical leads with program onboarding of discipline personnel
  • Monitoring the development and implementation of new capabilities and features that enhance the tenets of horizontal integration
  • Collaboration: Collaborate across teams to identify, assess, establish and maintain horizontal integration and infrastructure elements
  • Leadership: Responsibility for enabling discipline performance across multiple pillars/IPTs
  • Technical proficiency: Applied knowledge of Agile methodology and Scrum concepts.
  • Analytical thinking: Use analytical thinking skills to solve complex problems within processes and help their teams minimize risks.
  • Business acumen: Good understanding of the program and discipline objectives in which you operate and be able to align goals with business objectives.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making: Use problem-solving and data-driven approaches to identify and resolve issues and make informed decisions that align with the goals of the team.

  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a close team environment
  • Experience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives
  • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently and work in a self-directed manner
  • Knowledge of system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentation
  • Experience leading/guiding teams through product definition and implementation
  • Experience in model based systems engineering using Cameo or similar SysML tools
  • Experience in supplier/subcontract management
