Sr. Planning & Inventory Specialist

High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
Minimum of 3 years prior purchasing, planning, and inventory for manufacturing facilities required.
Prior experience with ISO/MDSAP quality processes preferred.

Create & update the master schedule by incorporating sales forecasts, large customer orders, and lead times to produce products.
Plan & schedule workflow for formulations and production departments based on inventory levels and sales forecasts.
Conduct purchasing activities based on raw material procurement lead times.
Proactively monitor open purchase orders and follow-up and/or expedite open purchase orders.
Assist with conducting weekly inventory of office supplies, cleaning supplies, and shipping supplies. Place order of needed supplies with vendors.
Prepares bill of materials, routers, and scrap reports.
Assists in issuing Supplier Corrective Action Requests to vendors. Follow up and close requests.
Works closely with all departments to plan for new product launches, including additional material quantities to purchase with appropriate lead time.
Facilitates technical vendor discussions to support new raw material needs for future product launches.
Organizes & coordinates annual inventory.
Supports operations manager as assigned.

Ability to use and learn computer based applications.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel.
Proactively identify challenges, solutions, & actions that are needed to be successful to meet customer needs.
Being detail oriented with an understanding of how materials & planning impacts all departments.
Being comfortable advocating for our quality, inventory, & cost needs when negotiating with vendors.
Ability to proactively communicate with all departments to understand our planning needs.
