Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years prior purchasing, planning, and inventory for manufacturing facilities required.
- Prior experience with ISO/MDSAP quality processes preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create & update the master schedule by incorporating sales forecasts, large customer orders, and lead times to produce products.
- Plan & schedule workflow for formulations and production departments based on inventory levels and sales forecasts.
- Conduct purchasing activities based on raw material procurement lead times.
- Proactively monitor open purchase orders and follow-up and/or expedite open purchase orders.
- Assist with conducting weekly inventory of office supplies, cleaning supplies, and shipping supplies. Place order of needed supplies with vendors.
- Prepares bill of materials, routers, and scrap reports.
- Assists in issuing Supplier Corrective Action Requests to vendors. Follow up and close requests.
- Works closely with all departments to plan for new product launches, including additional material quantities to purchase with appropriate lead time.
- Facilitates technical vendor discussions to support new raw material needs for future product launches.
- Organizes & coordinates annual inventory.
- Supports operations manager as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to use and learn computer based applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel.
- Proactively identify challenges, solutions, & actions that are needed to be successful to meet customer needs.
- Being detail oriented with an understanding of how materials & planning impacts all departments.
- Being comfortable advocating for our quality, inventory, & cost needs when negotiating with vendors.
- Ability to proactively communicate with all departments to understand our planning needs.
