Sr. Payroll Specialist

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
Minimum of 2-4 years payroll experience required; experience processing multi-state and/or international payroll preferred
Experience with ADP Workforce Now required
Experience with union populations preferred
Must be comfortable working in multiple systems pulling reports and entering data
Current knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding payroll
Proficiency in Excel: formulas, vlookups, pivot tables
Must possess problem-solving and analytical skills, initiative, and the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines
Ability to handle confidential material and communicate with various levels of management

Works closely with the Director of Payroll to ensure accurate operations of the payroll functions with minimal errors
Ensure accurate processing of semi-monthly payrolls for over 500 regular, temporary & seasonal employees both domestic & international using ADP Workforce Now
Collect and process data in HRIS and Payroll systems, including new hires, terminations, employment changes (supervisor & job title changes, etc.), payroll and tax related data
Process child support and garnishment orders
Review timesheets and facilitate timecard approvals/processing
Coordinate with employees, department managers, Human Resources, and Finance & Accounting staff to resolve payroll-related issues as they arise
Review & update 401(k) deferral changes in payroll system
Maintain compliance with company policies, and applicable local, state, and federal laws
Continually enhance and update process documentation
Assist year-end payroll reporting and preparation of W-2 forms
Assist with various audits and provide information to auditors as needed
Assist in updating data that feeds into the payroll forecast in Workday Adaptive.
