Requirements

  • 3+ years of consulting experience with one of the blue-chip strategy consulting firms
  • 5+ years of relevant business experience in a highly analytical business environment, including business analysis, functional line experience within strategy, marketing, finance, operations, or sales analytics with a history of demonstrated business success
  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics) – A master’s degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with an analytics concentration is preferred and will be accepted in lieu of 2 years of experience
  • Industry experience in a consumer-packaged goods or a large B2B company in strategy development, finance, marketing, or other role with strategic content
  • Experience in a programming language (e.g., Python, R, C++, Minitab, SAS, Matlab, VBA)
  • Experience in a data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, D3, Shiny, ggplot)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of strategic recommendations on analytics projects associated with business unit strategy in close collaboration with key leaders across the organization
  • Maintain, prioritize and deliver a backlog of strategy development and advanced analytics use cases and workstreams supporting executive leadership: Scope and define business value, propose potential approaches, assess feasibility, estimate effort and data requirements
  • Drive execution of advanced analytics work to distill insights for senior business leaders in support of strategic business plans. Data sources include but not limited to market data, pricing data, syndicated data such as POS, shipment data, distributor data, Annual & Quarterly reports, investment banker analysis, financial data, articles, and other primary and secondary resources
  • Drive collaborative advanced analytics processes with a range of teams to create strategies at a functional, category, and/or brand level that drive value with clear plans for implementation
  • Drive process to develop materials and present insights and recommendations to senior leaders using visualizations, and interactive dashboards designed for non-technical audiences
  • Lead change management initiatives to support successful implementation of strategies
  • Proactively take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to continuously improve KC’s performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with an analytics concentration is preferred and will be accepted in lieu of 2 years of experience
