Sr. Manager – Operations

5+ years of operations experience in a highly regulated environment, preferably in financial services, wealth management, custody, or brokerage
2+ years of people management experience with demonstrated success coaching early-career talent
Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, drive change management, and build team engagement
Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage metrics to diagnose issues and measure improvement
Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
Series 99 and SIE licenses (or willingness to obtain)

Serve as Lead Project Manager for Operations projects which require technical knowledge of both Betterment products as well as Operations processes
Collaborate with a variety of teams including but not limited to product, engineering, legal and compliance to drive these projects to completion
Primary liaison and point of contact for vendor relationships with Betterment
Manage a team of (6) associates; develop their career trajectories as thought partners in identifying and executing process improvements in Operations
Drive a culture of accountability, feedback, and continuous improvement
Set clear performance expectations and development plans for direct reports
Serve as the primary resource for metrics around Ops processes and deliverables
Manage meetings with respective teams and identify opportunities for growth and/or improvement both individually and as a team
Create reporting for the CEO and deliver status reports/metrics in standing meetings
Partner with current stakeholders to make sure the team is adequately trained to handle current deliverables
Work with Operations managers to build robust training programs and increase visibility so that opportunities to learn and advance skill sets are not siloed

Deep knowledge of KYC, asset transfer processes, and regulatory documentation requirements (preferred)
Experience partnering with Risk, Compliance, or Legal teams a plus
