Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
  • PowerBI or Tableau experience
  • Ability to synthesize large complex data sets into actionable insights & visuals
  • Fluent English

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate current reporting and analytics capabilities and create a plan to improve systems, processes, and team skills for advanced analytics
  • Build dashboards and tools that support data-driven decisions, provide valuable insights, and minimize manual efforts.
  • Break down complex data into clear insights to guide decisions and support organizational priorities, presenting information in a way that’s easy for leadership to understand.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a small team of SMEs and Data Analysts to ensure strong performance and efficient resource use
  • Ensure the team delivers high-value analytics products with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality; manage issues related to resources, timeline, or quality.
  • Communicate the vision, strategic priorities, and key insights into the business to the team; ensure alignment with broader business needs and functional roadmaps.
  • Recruit talent and support their career development and progression, while maintaining a team structure that optimizes productivity.
  • Foster innovation by encouraging the exploration and early adoption of new technologies and solutions within the team.
  • Act as a liaison with key stakeholders within and outside of S&R, promoting system thinking within the analytics ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with the broader Technical Enablement team, Service & Repair stakeholders, and area leaders to drive the Reporting and Insights product development lifecycle and successful analytics adoption.
  • Understand and articulate functional business processes, systems, and future changes; provide constructive feedback and drive continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure the team is building and advancing the right analytics products in the right way, capturing benefits and/or ROI.
  • Foster strong customer relationships, promoting team’s work and credibility, and supporting the evolution and maturity of analytics products.
  • Gain a deep understanding of Medtronic’s Service strategies and integrate this knowledge with general business insights to drive growth objectives.
  • Uphold quality standards in every project and daily activities, ensuring excellence in execution.
  • Willingness to work with global partners which may result in adjusted work schedule
  • Travel internationally up to 25%
  • Develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and models data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage.
  • Conducts statistical analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification.
  • Manages all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report building functions of systems.
  • Maintains analytical systems, verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as a liaison to the business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to solve highly complex problems across multiple business functions
  • Experience supporting Agile processes and development
  • Experience in supporting analytics that leverage Microsoft Power Platform, and/or Tableau
  • Experience working globally
  • Knowledge of Medtronic products and corporate structure
