Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working in aerospace, automotive, or other high-precision manufacturing environments, in a fast-paced rapid growth environment.
  • Experience implementing substantial improvement to a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers to develop, optimize, and scale production processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across manufacturing operations.
  • Scale and mature the production system for the V-BAT, increasing output while maintaining exceptional build quality and reliability.
  • Stand up full-rate production from the ground up for our next-generation, jet-powered aircraft—shaping everything from layout and flow to tooling, training, and takt time.
  • Collaborate closely with design, production, and supply chain teams to evaluate and implement new technologies and scalable manufacturing methods.
  • Partner with engineering to establish standards and best practices that ensure engineering changes and design updates are implemented in a way that sets the production team up for success.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes align with safety, regulatory, and quality standards while supporting the company’s long-term strategic goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Background in aerospace manufacturing, composites, or precision machining.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of implementing new manufacturing technologies.
