Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in month-end/year-end close activities and general ledger accounting.
  • Prior experience in one of the Big 4 audit firms and CPA or ACCA certification is required.
  • Experience with larger ERP systems such as NetSuite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various levels of the organization.
  • Experience in managing audits and tax filing preparation.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized and a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP, Finance & Accounting and CEO to drive financial planning processes, including annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning.
  • Serve as a thought partner to business leaders on headcount planning, capital allocation, and commercial readiness initiatives.
  • Develop models to support strategic decisions such as pricing, territory expansion, and operational scale-up.
  • Own and refine COGS modeling, inventory tracking, and margin analysis across product lines.
  • Lead direct and indirect labor cost allocation across manufacturing, field operations, and customer support functions.
  • Support gross margin optimization through cost modeling, vendor analysis, and process efficiency.
  • Ensure accounting practices align with DME billing and regulatory standards (e.g., CHAP, CMS).
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting packages to senior leadership.
  • Responsible for Budget to Actuals variance analysis and deliver explanations with clear business context.
  • Build and maintain dashboards/KPIs that drive performance and transparency across the company.
  • Prepare board-level presentations and investor materials.
  • Collaborate with Clinical, R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial teams to ensure integrated financial planning.
  • Influence operational leaders through data-driven insights and scenario analysis.
  • Establish scalable processes to support rapid growth and commercial expansion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Sunshine Act Compliance preferred.
