Requirements

  • A Bachelors Degree with an MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years Sourcing and Procurement Management with at least 5 years in Digital Preferred
  • Experience with various types of software licensing models for Engineering Software
  • Negotiating software/SaaS contracts to drive year on year cost savings to help RTX meet its bottom line
  • Experience with end-to-end procurement process
  • Microsoft Suite of Products including Excel, Word and Teams
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Responsibilities

  • Build a strategy, lead and manage negotiations for Engineering Software (SW) contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions to the achievement of technical, financial and performance objectives for RTX
  • Review, draft, and revise a variety of contracts including software licenses and master agreements
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including partnership peers, legal, finance, cyber to align contract terms with company objectives
  • Manage relationship with suppliers ensuring adherence to agreed terms, quality, and opportunity development
  • Establish supplier engagement plans and enforce overall governance within portfolio
  • Develop and manage an integrated master schedule of engagements, renewals, RFQs, etc.
  • Facilitate supplier performance reviews, benchmarks & reporting
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Support the investigation, negotiation and favorable resolution of disputes with suppliers
  • Manage Software audits
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all contract negotiations, drafts and final agreements
  • Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in software contracting
  • Recommend and implement process improvements in deal tracking (savings, risk, metrics) and contract management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

  • Strong project management skills and ability to convert requirements into executable strategies, and ability to develop and manage an integrated master schedule
  • Ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
  • Ability to develop effective presentations and documents used for leadership reviews
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial information, budgets and program performance and develop strategies and business cases to improve performance in these areas
  • Understand and perform contract redlines
  • Business acumen to connect technical requirements and concerns to contract performance
