Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in ecommerce management, preferably within the tech or retail sectors
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful ecommerce strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance customer experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms, particularly Shopify, and familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive site strategy, including ongoing enhancements and a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) testing roadmap, to improve website effectiveness and user experience
  • Regularly update and merchandise the website to ensure content relevance, freshness, and alignment with marketing campaigns and product launches
  • Enhance data collection and personalization capabilities to improve customer experience (CX) and conversion rates (CVR), leveraging insights to tailor content and offers
  • Oversee front-end and back-end web operations, including the management of third-party vendors and platforms
  • Lead the development and management of an online marketplace, establishing partnerships and strategies to expand Tonal’s digital ecosystem
  • Spearhead the development and integration of Tonal’s online blog, focusing on driving organic traffic through SEO and supporting the overall health and wellness of Tonal members
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to optimize online campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media strategies, to drive traffic and sales
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor and analyze website performance, user behavior, and sales data, generating reports to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement
  • Enhance the online customer journey by implementing user experience (UX) improvements, ensuring a seamless and engaging path from landing page to checkout
  • Manage and mentor a team of ecommerce professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing digital marketplaces and understanding of marketplace dynamics
  • Background in direct-to-consumer (DTC) fitness, health tech, or premium consumer brands
  • Expertise in content strategy, SEO, and blog/informational content integration
  • Familiarity with emerging ecommerce technologies and trends, with the ability to assess and implement new tools to enhance the online experience
