Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 9 years of related professional experience; OR Master of Science in a related STEM discipline and 7 years of related professional experience
  • Experience developing and executing data strategies that consider big data solutions such as data lakes and/or data warehouses
  • Understanding of elastic data storage and archive storage lifecycle management
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, etc.) and techniques
  • Experience with large scale distributed software and agile software development methodologies
  • Leadership or management experience over a technical team
  • Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a program-specific Data strategy that supports the Enterprise Data Strategy
  • Build and lead a high performing team of data architects, engineers, and scientists
  • Manage Data Science practices for prescriptive, predictive, diagnostic, descriptive, and cognitive analytics through automation, storage elasticity, and on-demand self service provisioning of all data types and lifecycles
  • Enable storing, searching, processing, and securing of extremely large structured or unstructured data sets
  • Proactively identify issues and inefficiencies within the business to develop and deploy solutions
  • Drive the adoption of data analysis methodologies across program operations for improved performance analysis
  • Lead the monitoring and analysis of operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, and provide recommendations/solutions
  • Actively engage with program leaders and key stakeholders to identify and understand operational problems
  • Design and manage the data infrastructure, network, and system automation
  • User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) design and development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
  • 5 years of hands-on software development experience
  • Strong understanding of business and engineering processes, tools, and techniques
  • Experience with UI/UX design and development
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex analytical subject matter across varied audiences
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience developing product visions and fostering effective engineering teams
  • Demonstrated technical leadership of product development teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven products
  • Experience developing big data solutions related to elastic data storage and archive storage lifecycle management
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing insights from multiple data sources
  • Experience with NoSQL Databases (e.g., MongoDB, Neo4J, etc.)
  • Understanding of Northrop Grumman policy, process, and products
  • Ability to make decisions with minimal support
  • Experience in a program management role
  • Top Secret clearance
