Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 9 years of related professional experience; OR Master of Science in a related STEM discipline and 7 years of related professional experience
- Experience developing and executing data strategies that consider big data solutions such as data lakes and/or data warehouses
- Understanding of elastic data storage and archive storage lifecycle management
- Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, etc.) and techniques
- Experience with large scale distributed software and agile software development methodologies
- Leadership or management experience over a technical team
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a program-specific Data strategy that supports the Enterprise Data Strategy
- Build and lead a high performing team of data architects, engineers, and scientists
- Manage Data Science practices for prescriptive, predictive, diagnostic, descriptive, and cognitive analytics through automation, storage elasticity, and on-demand self service provisioning of all data types and lifecycles
- Enable storing, searching, processing, and securing of extremely large structured or unstructured data sets
- Proactively identify issues and inefficiencies within the business to develop and deploy solutions
- Drive the adoption of data analysis methodologies across program operations for improved performance analysis
- Lead the monitoring and analysis of operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, and provide recommendations/solutions
- Actively engage with program leaders and key stakeholders to identify and understand operational problems
- Design and manage the data infrastructure, network, and system automation
- User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) design and development
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
- 5 years of hands-on software development experience
- Strong understanding of business and engineering processes, tools, and techniques
- Experience with UI/UX design and development
- Excellent ability to communicate complex analytical subject matter across varied audiences
- Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience developing product visions and fostering effective engineering teams
- Demonstrated technical leadership of product development teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven products
- Experience developing big data solutions related to elastic data storage and archive storage lifecycle management
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing insights from multiple data sources
- Experience with NoSQL Databases (e.g., MongoDB, Neo4J, etc.)
- Understanding of Northrop Grumman policy, process, and products
- Ability to make decisions with minimal support
- Experience in a program management role
- Top Secret clearance
