Requirements
- Experience (1) Network Architecture, design and troubleshooting to handle all bandwidth upgrade fails.
- Experience (2) Routing, security and Network protocols to configure MPLS, qos and static routing on core and cell site routers.
- Experience (3) Programming with PERL, Python, or comparable tools to automate pre, post checks and KPI monitoring.
- Experience (4) Project planning, collaboration, and risk management skills to supervise new core routers installation into the network.
- Experience (5) Demonstrated ability in using Infoblox, NetAct or comparable tools to configure IP address , VLANS for Mini macro devices in networks.
- Experience (6) Perform configuration modifications on various routers in the network to handle customer traffic efficiently.
- PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide project management functions to develop and implement complex network plans to include technology changes within the platforms, new implementation guidelines, and/or standards; provide analysis for switching, interconnection, national platforms, and backbone facilities;
- Perform work on projects including technology changes within the platforms, new implementation guidelines, and/or standards;
- Conduct project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons;
- Analyze switching, interconnection, national platforms, and backbone facilities; and
- Provide customer solutions which encompass a broad range of engineering disciplines and technologies.
- Analyze bandwidth utilization in the network and perform port channel upgrade on the core routers for load balancing.
- Identify and resolve failed 1GB and 10GB cell site upgrade orders by troubleshooting issue with various backhaul vendors.
- Implement and configure routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP and troubleshoot related issues.
