Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 6 years engineering experience
- Must have obtained Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or PE
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or 5 years of engineering experience with state registration as a Professional Engineer
- A Master’s degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree.
Responsibilities
- Manage work in engineering areas of specialization with minimal supervision
- Develop advanced skills and work independently
- Identify problems, develop solutions, and take action to resolve
- Provide technical support for equipment issues at solar and bulk energy storage generation facilities
- Work with plant operations and maintenance personnel to support equipment troubleshooting
- Coordinate compliance with applicable NERC Standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Skilled in engineering theories and principles
- Skilled in the practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Skilled in principles of project management
- Experience in the utility industry
- Experience with design, construction, commissioning, and/or process engineering support for solar or bulk energy storage generation facilities
- Experience with utility industry process control and automation equipment
- Experience with utility industry system protection/relay engineering and/or disturbance monitoring equipment
- Experience with NERC Operations and Planning (O&P) standards
