Requirements
- 5 + years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience in the automotive/EV or relevant industry.
- Experience with EMI/EMC testing, as well as system and circuit design, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (systems and circuit groups).
- Proven track record in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical sources of EMC failures.
- Familiar with communication protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, USB for product instrumentation and communication monitoring for EMC testing is a plus.
- Familiar with EMC test environment setup for different FCC/CISPR standards for both emission and immunity requirements.
- Good Understanding of EMI/EMC regulations and international standards (such as FCC part 15/18/22/24/27 and CISPR 11/22/24/32/35, EN 61000-X series, UNECE R10).
- Extensive experience using various laboratory equipment such as LISNs, Antennas, Spectrum Analyzers, EMI Receivers, Oscilloscopes, Amplifiers etc.
- A strong desire to create state-of-the-art engineering products as an integral part of a capable team.
- Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategy for EMI/EMC in Electric Vehicle in order to ensure the vehicle passes EMI/EMC regulations and standards in stipulated regions.
- Develop Vehicle design validation plans for Emissions and Immunity.
- Develop testing methods to reduce emissions and improve Immunity.
- Collaborate/Work with cross-functional teams to develop Vehicle EMC pre-compliance plans/procedures for testing at external labs.
- Plan/Schedule and conduct EMC testing at external labs.
- Partner/Assist Design Engineers during EMC pre-compliance and compliance testing and debugging.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Experience in taking an automotive product through a formal FCC/CISPR certification process.
- Extensive experience in setting up of EMC pre-compliance environment for emission and immunity requirements (both conducted and radiated).
