Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 10+ proven years experience in the design of complex hardware
- Skilled Altium user
- High-speed digital, analog, and/or mixed-signal circuit design, build, and troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of EE principles
- Circuit analysis and simulation, such as worst-case circuit analysis, signal integrity analysis, and logic or Spice simulation
- Experience in grounding and general board layout principles, including EMI/EMC tradeoffs
- Battery-based power systems, including power management, power switching, charging, and battery safety
- Computer command and I/O control for sophisticated industrial systems or vehicles
- RF communication subsystem and/or component design, with a strong background in RF principles
- Design of Data Acquisition Systems and familiarity with a variety of sensor technologies
- Background developing sophisticated circuit cards, consumer electronics, wireless devices, or other advanced electronic commercial or aerospace products
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our inclusive culture
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver avionics hardware subsystem elements, including common circuit blocks and development kits
- Design, develop, and verify high-performance avionics hardware for incorporation in various flight vehicles
- Drive requirements definition, modeling, analysis, design, fabrication, and test of flight and power management components and subsystems elements
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or related subject areas
- 15+ years proven experience in design, development, integration, test, and operation of Avionics systems or vehicles
