Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with at least 10 years in an engineering leadership role.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, scalable, and high-availability software products in a global or enterprise environment.
  • Experience with large complex systems operating in a cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with legal tech, content management, and search technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a clear technical vision and strategy for new and existing products on the Lexis+ platform.
  • Drive the continuous modernization of our technology stack, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Influence the strategy to address internal or external business, vendor, and regulatory issues.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of engineering managers, software engineers, and technical leads.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and coach team members to grow their technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Own end-to-end software delivery, from planning to deployment and support.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, UX, Data Science, and other stakeholders to ensure features are delivered on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality.
  • Champion Agile best practices and modern DevOps practices to optimize efficiency and throughput.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards to keep Lexis+ at the forefront of legal tech innovation.
  • Drive proof-of-concept initiatives, prototyping, and pilot projects to explore new ideas and evolve the product roadmap.
  • Partner with senior executives across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align technology investments with business priorities.
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level.
  • Implement robust metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to measure and improve the engineering organization’s performance.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements relevant to the legal industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with legal tech, content management, and search technologies is a plus.
