Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Genomics, Immunology, Biology or a relevant field. PhD or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of business experience in the life sciences or medical device industry, including 7-10 years in marketing, new product commercialization, product marketing or strategic planning.
  • Consistent success in upstream and downstream marketing, including ability to partner with R&D and oversee/lead teams on new product development.
  • Consistent track record in strategic marketing, including market segmentation, customer segmentation, targeting, value proposition development, positioning, promotion, pricing, forecast, budget and performance management.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinker, organized problem solving with strategic agility.
  • Comfortable in a global, fast-paced, always-on, highly matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leads change and drives profitable growth for the Single Cell Multiomics business and embeds a strong customer centric focus into portfolio and resource decisions.
  • Responsible for financial analysis of business results, including market share, revenue forecasts, pricing and exclusivity, financial planning, budget and P&Ls (risk exposure).
  • Involved in the development of materials for periodic management reviews with the Single cell Multiomics Platform and BDB leadership.
  • Leads identification and selection of the most promising business opportunities for Single Cell Multiomics.
  • Leads the acceleration of product development and successful commercialization of new products.
  • Creates/sets the short-term and long-term direction and strategies for Single Cell Multiomics, including strategic planning for projected financial outcomes, working with the regional and functional teams.
  • Develops and manages new product development portfolio for Single Cell Multiomics in partnership with R&D. Provides worldwide sustaining engineering/product support leadership direction.
  • Monitors and ensures proper communication of relevant market trends, regulations and policy to ensure continuing strategic fit.
  • Develops and manages the Single Cell Multiomics team’s worldwide manufacturing/supply chain needs jointly with Operations and in setting short-term and long-term manufacturing strategy and capacity planning.
  • Oversees market research to assess awareness and perception and inform development/refinement of Single Cell Multiomics platform/product brand and product development.
  • Oversees marketing mix strategy and development and communication of the brand strategy through relevant media channels, advertising placement, etc., including digital strategy, including website and online media in partnership with Global Marketing.
  • Defines and drives execution of Single Cell Multiomics portfolio strategy, product roadmap and priorities for specified market segment in partnership with Marketing and other key functions.
  • Maintains strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, professional associations, and advisory boards in partnership with Scientific Affairs.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience in the fields of Genomics or Immuno-oncology is highly preferred.
