Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with in-depth business acumen and experience/exposure to Brand, Product Management, R&D Engineering, Consumer Research and Operations (Mfg, Purchasing, Supply Chain), ideally with experience in consumer goods industries
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other relevant degree required, MBA or advance degree preferred
- Experience leading the DtV competency in an organization that defines new growth and/or strategic cost reduction opportunities
- Proven track record of leading large strategic initiatives that produce actionable business recommendations; owning and managing multi-year $100M+ impact targets
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to balance working across a large, matrixed organization
- Ability to draw strong correlations and manage the tradeoffs from various research techniques (market trends, consumer insights, product platforming, etc)
- Strong influencing skills to create cross functional alignment, create buy-in, and drive tough value-cost tradeoff decisions
- Emphasis on people leadership and mentoring teams through important change in the org
- Change agent with a proven track record of establishing and sustaining corporate wide processes and organizational change management
Responsibilities
- Provide overall direction and strategic guidance for the end-to-end DtV effort and team, in alignment with brand positioning and business strategy
- Establish wave roadmaps and assume accountability for DtV targets and timelines
- Communicate DtV priorities, process, and progress across the organization through regular cadence of updates and dashboards
- Build relationships to ensure DtV process is executed in a holistic, thorough, and timely manner
- Build trust and credibility for DtV by ensuring transparency, partnership with Business unit, Brand and Operations leadership
- Directly lead a dedicated team that executes the overall DtV effort and delivers on targets defined by the business
- Provide leadership and direction to a large indirect team on DtV process – spanning across functions such as Insights, Engineering, Brand, Category Management and Sourcing
- Drive value-cost tradeoffs by engaging the steering committee on recommendations and supporting fact base
- Lead capability building of DtV across enterprise
