Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field and two (2) years of experience as an electrical engineer or related occupation in electrical engineering; or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field and five (5) years of experience as an electrical engineer or related occupation in electrical engineering.
- At least two (2) years of experience with process specification and process development of new and retrofit automated manufacturing equipment.
- At least two (2) years of experience with IQ (Installation Qualification).
- At least two (2) years of experience programming, manipulating, and troubleshooting PLC, HMI, machine safety devices, discrete controllers and vision inspection (Keyence/ Cognex) programs utilizing Allen Bradley RSLogix Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk.
- At least two (2) years of experience with AutoCAD electrical drawing software.
- At least two (2) years of experience with design and use of data acquisition systems and real time automation.
- At least two (2) years of experience with electrical, electro-pneumatic and machine guarding safety standards and codes.
- At least two (2) years of experience with machine motion controls to include torque, speed, position, servo mechanism, within Allen Bradley Kinetix servo systems.
- At least two (2) years of experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process.
- At least two (2) years of experience with suture, surgical needle and polymer manufacturing and troubleshooting leveraging extrusion, braiding, metal forming, metal grinding, electropolishing and Laser technologies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for new equipment development including Initial Feasibility, Proof of Concept, Proof of Principle, Procurement, Mechanical/Electrical/Pneumatic/Software Design, Technology development & advancement.
- Support various products including innovative surgical devices such as surgical staplers, ligating clips, surgical catheters, surgical suture, hemostatic patch etc.
- Specify, integrate, purchase, qualify and validate equipment and tooling to optimize the assembly process for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Functionality.
- Coordinate with project team, sourcing, approved suppliers in support of equipment design, create assembly process strategy and acceptance testing.
- Design, integrate and maintain packaging & labeling automation.
- Responsible for surgical stapler and ligating clip manufacturing.
- Leverage Agile PLM tools.
- Leverage Test Method Validation (TMV), OQ (operation Qualification) and PQ (Performance Qualification).
- Responsible for drafting process failure mode effect and analysis (PFMEA).
- Process specification and process development of new and retrofit automated manufacturing equipment.
- Leverage IQ (Installation Qualification).
- Responsible for Programming, manipulating, and troubleshooting PLC, HMI, machine safety devices, discrete controllers and vision inspection (Keyence/ Cognex) programs utilizing Allen Bradley RSLogix Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk.
- Leverage AutoCAD Electrical drawing software.
- Utilize design, integration and use of data acquisition systems, IIoT technology and real time automation.
- Adhere to Electrical, electro-pneumatic and machine guarding safety standards and codes.
