Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline or equivalent experience is required.
- 7+ years’ experience database administration, preferably using Software AG products.
- Administrative skill to set up and enforce the standards and procedures for using the database.
- Technical ability to understand the factors governing hardware performance, with considerable knowledge both of the operating system software and the DBMS being used.
- Thorough knowledge of existing and future applications; and skills to produce an efficient database design that meets the application requirements.
- Establishing the system for controlling and administering the database environment establishing database procedures and standards; assisting in database design; educating users; selecting applications suitable for the database system; maintaining database documentation; and administering the database.
- Strong oral and written communication as well as strong presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently but effectively with a team to accomplish team projects and solve technical problems.
Responsibilities
