Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of experience as a commodity manager or a similar role in electronics product industry with at least 5 years managing semi-conductor components
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, electrical engineering or a related field
- Highly skilled using Excel and Powerpoint
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Contribute to overall business procurement and supply chain strategy at F5
- Develop commodity strategies and lead cross-functional execution for semiconductor components leading to optimal cost, supply chain, quality and on-time deliveries
- Lead RFx process for supplier selection supporting new product introductions
- Manage cost updates throughout NPI development cycle and sustaining to ensure costs stay below target
- Analyze market trends and data, develop strategy and pipeline to meet cost reduction goals
- Drive supply chain risk mitigations though multi-sourcing and supplier relationship management
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions
- Manage strategic supplier relationship and host quarterly business reviews for strategic supplier performance management and on-going strategic alignment
- Resolve issues and disputes related to commodity procurement and delivery
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations on commodity management activities and outcomes
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and standards
- Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies
- Performs other related duties as assigned
