Requirements
- 7–9 years of experience in data center capacity planning, infrastructure planning, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of data center power distribution (UPS, PDUs, generators, redundancy), cooling systems, and space constraints.
- Proficient in working with server, storage, and networking hardware and their physical resource impacts.
- Skilled in managing large datasets and tools such as Excel, SQL, Looker, or Tableau.
- Familiarity with DCIM tools and automation frameworks.
- Ability to conduct data-driven analysis to support strategic infrastructure decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex capacity models for data center power, cooling, and space planning.
- Perform scenario and impact analyses to support infrastructure deployment decisions.
- Analyze utilization trends and recommend optimizations to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate with site selection and design teams to inform expansion and buildout strategies.
- Align capacity planning efforts with deployment timelines and infrastructure availability.
- Build dashboards and KPIs to drive real-time visibility into capacity utilization.
