Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • 3 years demonstrated experience in MicroStrategy Administration with an on-prem installation
  • 3 years demonstrated experience in MicroStrategy Developer
  • 3 years demonstrated experience in IBM Cognos or equivalent on-prem BI tool
  • 3 years demonstrated experience in Oracle data warehousing or equivalent database installed on-prem
  • 2 years of experience in Linux/Unix operating systems
  • 6 months of experience required in Python
  • 6 months of experience required in Perl

Responsibilities

  • Perform MicroStrategy administration activities including system upgrades and license management
  • Provide on-going support of existing MicroStrategy solutions
  • Continually reevaluate current processes and techniques for increased efficiency and maintainability
  • Maintain data load processes using command line routines, Perl, Python, and Oracle
  • Design and produce complex reports, dashboards, and scorecards for internal and external customers on multiple BI platforms (MicroStrategy, IBM Cognos, and Looker)
  • Use GitHub actions to promote objects in Looker environments
  • Use Motio to promote objects in IBM Cognos environments
  • Work with multiple teams to design and build data marts using Oracle and BigQuery
  • Recommend and lead database changes working with DBAs and Developers
  • Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Managers to develop product metrics
  • Complete complex data analysis and ad-hoc requests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues with large data sets in a complex data structure
  • Manage system security to ensure new product reports and customers are configured properly
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements, NCPDP transaction standards, and data security regarding pharmacy prescription real-time processing
