Requirements
- Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in the position offered or 3 years of experience in Pulp Thermoforming or downstream automation
- 3 years of experience utilizing Shurcon Thermoforming Equipment
- 3 years of experience utilizing Fanuc or ABB 6-Axis Robots
- 3 years of experience performing pulping
- 3 years of experience utilizing Thermoform trimming applications
Responsibilities
- Specify automation equipment in respective areas of expertise, e.g., Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, or Software Application
- Work closely with Project Manager and Engineer to meet project timeline and within budget
- Review, understand, and interpret requirements and specifications accurately for integration into design of equipment
- Ensure design for manufacturability
- Act as liaison with internal or external assemblers and manufacturers of equipment to ensure all parts are manufactured to the design
- Generate design drawings, installation manual, and user manual
- Ensure all engineering times are logged into tracking system correspondent to the projects
- Coordinate and drive all automation and equipment installation in the facility
- Lead continuous improvement activities to optimize automation, assembly and all other manufacturing processes in the plant
- Learn and train others on robotics and automation needed for the facility
- Manage Shurcon work centers and interface with pulping equipment
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
