Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (MBA desired)
- 5+ years of experience in auditing, internal control assessments, or related areas
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Independently conducts assurance and consulting engagements related to financial, operational and compliance risks for various business areas within NRECA and the Plans.
- Designs and executes comprehensive audit programs. Plans and scopes engagements, develops audit procedures, conducts walkthroughs and interviews, performs control design assessments, performs testing in accordance with the approved Internal Audit Priorities and IIA standards.
- Identifies audit findings, provides recommendations that strengthen controls and improves processes, and collaborates with stakeholders on remediation plans.
- Communicates audit results with stakeholders and Internal management.
- Monitors and follows up on audit recommendations/management’s action items to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
