Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of professional experience, ideally in a mix of financial services (Investment Banking / Private Equity) and highly analytical roles at a fast-growing company (Strategic Finance / Strategy & Ops / BizOps).
- Exceptional analytical skills, including advanced Excel proficiency & SQL proficiency, with a proven ability to digest large amounts of data and focus on the most important details.
- Strong analytical mindset with expert financial modeling abilities and can effectively translate data into actionable insights, strategies, and financial plans.
- Value precision and accuracy in work and can rapidly dissect complex quantitative problems.
- Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and interact with others in a way that instills confidence in intentions and those of the organization.
- Demonstrate a high-energy, high-integrity leadership style and excel at prioritizing both long-term strategic projects and ad hoc urgent requests in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and can handle highly sensitive and confidential communications with discretion.
- Take full ownership of work, proactively identifying opportunities, solving problems without waiting to be asked, and driving projects forward with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with functional business leaders across the organization to drive strategy and operational rigor within Talkiatry’s revenue growth pillars.
- Build financial forecasts and targets, track performance, and analyze deviations from actuals to provide insights into financial health of revenue growth pillars.
- Continually improve the accuracy of forecasts through a deep understanding of business performance and drivers.
- Leverage financial and operational data to evaluate new business opportunities and provide recommendations to senior leadership teams.
- Define, track and monitor metrics and key performance indicators; partner with the Data team to develop tools and dashboards to make these metrics widely accessible across Talkiatry.
- Support and lead various financial work streams including the month end close process, Board materials, investor reporting, and fundraising activities.
