Requirements
- Strong familiarity with IT project management methodologies and associated working practices with an ability to adjust as needed
- Experience working in a complex release management environment
- Ability to execute release management activities including release planning, phase and scope governance, risk management and environment coordination
- Comfort with test management, DevOps and SCRUM tools and processes such as GitHub
- Familiarity with application setup and deployment activities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-starter who is a proactive, motivated, and resourceful individual who takes ownership of their work, embraces challenges, and consistently strives for excellence
- Proven record of engaging with executive stakeholders
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, and standalone SCRUM teams
- Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
- Can adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or proven record of experience in technology roles with required years of experience
- 15+ years of experience in delivering complex system integration projects
- 5+ years in application deployment and release management processes
Responsibilities
- Developing release schedules, coordinating with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure everything is aligned, and managing dependencies
- Coordinate release activities across various teams, including engineering, QA, and product management. Manage release calendars and ensure alignment with business goals
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with deployments, developing contingency plans, and ensuring compliance
- Continuously improving the release process, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing best practices
- Communicate release plans, timelines, and updates to stakeholders and team members. Collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment and cooperation. Serve as a liaison between different departments and external partners
- Working with various CI/CD tools, deployment automation platforms, and version control systems
