Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Proven experience in quality control, inspection, or related fields
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Responsibilities
- Review and manage First Article Inspections (FAI) with AS9102 and internal standards
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure that all requirements are met
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to identify, address, and resolve any issues found in their First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) from initiation through completion
- Run and update status reports, ensuring timely distribution to key stakeholders
- Monitor and support open action items (ARs) and escalate as needed. Make updates as necessary
- Assist in training and providing guidance to other team members regarding FAI procedures and best practices
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align priorities and maintain workflow efficiency
- Continuously improve the FAI process by identifying areas for efficiency improvements
- Respond to urgent and priority items accordingly
- Knowledge of special process assessments and audits, including but not limited to NDT, heat treating, welding, brazing, plating, and chemical processing specifications
- Assist the team with coordination and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain distribution inboxes, assist with portal resets, and support team communications during critical process phases
- Document and maintain meeting minutes, track action items, and ensure follow-up
- Support deployment of digital solutions and automated data analytics to achieve alignment and improved user experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements (AS9102, PPAP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, making sound decisions based on findings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with different teams effectively
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and ERP systems is a plus
