Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Statistics or Computer Science
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing / media performance analysis, using appropriate modeling techniques
  • Advanced knowledge in data science, including linear, logistics, multinomial regressions, clustering, k-nearest neighbor (KNN), decision tree, gradient boosting, random forest etc.
  • Hands on experience in marketing / media mix modeling would be highly preferred
  • Extensive exposure in cross-channel marketing / media performance analysis, with in-depth knowledge on media tactics, buying processes and currencies, states of media data and the challenges
  • Experience in design of experiments, to establish causal relationships between media strategies and intended outcomes
  • A strategic thinker, with exceptional analytical acumen, in addition to problem-solving skills
  • Creative innovator, trained in marketing, data science and data management

Responsibilities

  • Plays a key role in the marketing sciences team to understand and audit the existing performance analysis, modeling, scenario planning and optimization services
  • Research on the state of the industry and assist in discovering advance capabilities among marketing science service providers, to identify gaps
  • Investigate potential business need for such, or related, services among the internal teams
  • Collaborate in ideation of newer models and services
  • Contribute to managing the capability evaluation of eligible vendors, to identify and shortlist contenders for pilot projects
  • Manage the project timeline and deliverables of innovation projects, besides summarizing findings in succinct presentations, suitable to senior management
  • Partner with the Director to advance the marketing science practice, by evolving the marketing mix models and creating newer models by working with partner agencies
  • Work closely with the modeling agencies to define the scope of new projects, set up the data collection process, audit input data, model results and create actionable insights
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred candidates will hold a master’s degree in Data Science
  • Hands on experience in marketing / media mix modeling would be highly preferred
  • Candidates with experience in design of experiments, to establish causal relationships between media strategies and intended outcomes, will be preferred
