Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or other quantitative or related fields strongly preferred.
  • 1 – 3 years relevant professional experience in commercial real estate.
  • CRE loan asset management and/or Bridge/Construction loan experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and present a quarterly asset summary reports that concisely summarize (a) loan, (b) collateral, (c) market, and (d) sponsor — risks, mitigants and trends.
  • Re-underwrite and re-value CRE loan collateral (mainly office, hospitality, MF, and industrial) by creating 5-year cash flow proformas using Argus and Excel.
  • Help the team lead manage the post-closing relationship with CIM’s sponsors/borrowers, including providing research-driven recommendations and analysis with respect to lease approvals, construction draws, rebalancing requirements, asset dispositions, special servicing, and REO transactions.
  • Coordinate among various CIM departments, including the Investments Group, Legal, Development, Leasing, Property Management to leverage in-house expertise when conducting analysis.
  • Monitor asset-level compliance with loan covenants (i.e. debt yield tests, cash flow sweeps, extension tests).
  • Oversee external servicer and construction consultants to review and fund borrower loan advance requests.
  • Work with CIM’s internal and external loan servicers to efficiently receive high-quality data and ensure borrower relationships are maintained, and borrower requests are processed timely with a focus on creating positive client experiences.

  • Adaptable and flexible team player who can effectively interact with both internal and external parties on complicated topics and sensitive matters.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents including loan agreements, term sheets, and leases.
  • Capability to respond effectively to time sensitive inquiries in written and verbal format to a wide range of audiences.
  • Familiarity with real estate and real estate finance.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze general economic data and statistics and sum.
  • Proficiency to model various outcomes as it pertains to real asset financial performance.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Working knowledge of CoStar type data sources.
  • Argus experience a plus (training supplied).
