Requirements
- 2+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications
- 2+ years of experience as full stack developer in Java-based technologies
- 1+ years of experience with React.js
- Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Command of architecture, design, and business processes
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Expertise in working in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
- 1+ years of experience in modern programming languages and cloud-based technologies
- 1+ years of experience in Agile development practices
- Expert knowledge of software engineering best practices with experience building complex software engineering products
- Extensive experience with building and driving adoption of software engineering best practices
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architectures
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the techno-functional impact analysis, design & code construction activities associated with development of software releases for the CVS Retail Pharmacy systems
- Partner and collaborate with the development manager, business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners, developers, and project managers to deliver business change and innovation into Java-based business applications software
- Involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution
- Identify and properly mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in Retail Pharmacy or Healthcare domain will be preferred
- Fosters a culture of continuous open feedback within teams and business unit
- Experience working with distributed teams, working across multiple time zones and geographies
- Ability to influence and inspire teams to align technical direction
- Ability to create and execute innovation roadmaps
- Have contributed to open-source technology and developed patents
- Ability to learn/work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space
- Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and achieve broader organizational goals
- In-depth experience with building application programming interfaces (API) and frameworks in their field. Experience in API security, analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request and response modifications
