Requirements
- Master’s Degree, Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), ASHA
- Experience in adult/children neurological speech and language disorders, evaluation and treatment, including aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, laryngectomy, stuttering, and voice disorders
- Experience with head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognition, TBI, dementia, and modified barium swallow studies
- Certificate of Clinical Competence, America Speech-Language-Hearing Association (required) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensure in Speech Pathology-Michigan (required) or temporary license during the CFY (required)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate referred patients
- Establish patient and family-centered goals
- Develop and execute treatment plans to promote or maximize independence in the discharged setting
- Participate in performance improvement and educational opportunities that promote the growth and development of the department and profession
