Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have at least one of the following experiences: Laboratory, Diagnostic or Life Science sales experience
  • Proven success managing a book of business
  • Demonstrated track record of recent success and sales accomplishments
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to travel 50% including occasional overnights

Responsibilities

  • Sells laboratory testing services to professionals, within the Clinical & C Suite setting, to the Rare Disease space, which includes genetics providers, neurologists, cardiologists, pediatric subspecialists and other specialties, as well as large Regional Medical Groups, as well as Regional Reference Labs and Hospitals
  • Meets and exceeds sales goals and achieve maximum sales growth in assigned territory
  • Successfully builds and executes an annual business plan with quarterly updates
  • Cold calls and builds a sales pipeline that will provide ongoing revenue goal achievement
  • Accurately forecasts and maintains a sales funnel of new opportunities in-line with a 90-day quota
  • Effectively manages travel logistics to maximize sales productivity
  • Collaborates, communicates and actively contributes to new business opportunities with Labcorp Clinical Sales counterparts
  • Collaborates closely with team members to retain the current book of business
  • Attends local and national professional trade shows and events as requested
  • Effectively communicates value propositions to all targeted customers and prospects
  • Performs in-services, training and implementation with pertinent personnel and physician staff
  • Updates all relevant customer account information into CRM Data Management Systems (Salesforce)
  • Provides ongoing customer support, education on focus products and market updates for current customer base

Preferred Qualifications

  • Life sciences background
  • Rare disease experience and relationships with hospital systems, genetics, cardiology, neurology and/or pediatric subspecialties
  • 3 years of Laboratory or Diagnostic sales experience
  • 5 years of Life Science sales experience
  • Medical device sales experience and business-to-business experience
