Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences
- Minimum of 5 years of outside medical sales experience
- Experience in the healthcare or clinical laboratory/medical device industry
- Existing relationships within one or multiple areas of: Hospitals, Pathology and Hematology and Oncology Clinics
- Prior experience in pathology or oncology
- Proven success managing a book of business
- Strong persuasiveness as well as influencing and closing skills
- Ability to understand complex scientific literature and use clinical data as a selling factor
- Strong communication skills: written and verbal
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Power Point & Excel
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Position requires minimum of 25% overnight travel for client visits, sales events and trade shows.
Responsibilities
- Meets and exceeds sales goals and achieve maximum sales growth in assigned territory
- Successfully builds and executes an annual business plan with quarterly updates
- Cold calls and builds a sales pipeline that will provide ongoing revenue goal achievement
- Accurately forecasts and maintains a sales funnel of new opportunities in-line with a 90-day quota
- Effectively manages travel logistics to maximize sales productivity
- Successfully sell cross functionally within a hospital system and laboratory
- Attends local and national professional trade shows and events as requested
- Learns and sells Integrated Oncology focused products and services
- Effectively communicates value propositions to all targeted customers and prospects
- Performs in-services, training and implementation with pertinent personnel and physician staff
- Collaborates and actively contributes to new business opportunities with LCA counterparts
- Updates all relevant customer account information into CRM Data Management Systems
- Provides ongoing customer support, education on focus products and market updates for current customer base.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Anatomic Pathology (AP)
- Oncology account management experience
- Salesforce
