Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a technical field and 5+ years of SAP BASIS experience.
- Hands-on technician familiar with SAP NetWeaver products with experience in all phases of the SAP lifecycle: Implementation, Operate & Maintain, Upgrades (EHP, SP, kernel, HANA database, System copies (HANA, ABAP & Java)
- Experience in the technical implementation of SAP Projects with ABAP systems as well as SAP PI/PO (Process Orchestration), SAP Portal platforms and some SAP SaaS solution such as IBP, FSM or Ariba
- Experience with Netweaver ABAP and JAVA stack
- Experience with the SAP HANA technology
- Experience with the SAP Cloud deployment
- Basic Project Management skill set
- Strong interpersonal skills are required including good written and oral communication capability
- Ability to effectively influence and direct the actions of those not within the direct reporting chain is essential
- System security techniques and policies
- Must be a Canadian citizen as this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted.
Responsibilities
- SAP (ABAP, HANA, JAVA) operations, system builds, patching, compliance, and oversight.
- Deploy tools and processes to ensure role compliance and user assignment in a timely fashion.
- Support audit requests.
- Support resource planning activities as it relates to SAP BASIS tasks and project support.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to Pratt & Whitney business users on SAP technical builds, tools, sizing, and performance requests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the ABAP development techniques
- Experience with the SAP WEB development techniques
- Experience with the SAP Fiori & SAPUI5 development techniques
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office toolset
- Knowledge of the new SAP development techniques with S/4Hana & BW/4Hana with the new ABAP extension concepts, native application on Hana, restful services, micro services, and mobile development (an asset)
- Knowledge of the new SAP development tools such as the SAP BTP Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Hana CDS views (an asset)
- Knowledge in business process design and SAP ECC configuration (an asset)
- Knowledge of SAP security concepts for ECC, BW, Portal, PI/PO, Fiori, & Hana (an asset)
- SAP certification is (an asset)
- Familiarity with Export Compliance regulations (an asset)
