Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT monitoring, backup, and recovery.
  • Strong knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.
  • Project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Support and build processes to ensure stable plant operations by leveraging innovative technologies
  • Define and structure monitoring systems to provide actionable information to diverse support teams throughout the manufacturing plant.
  • Develop and implement backup strategies to ensure data is securely stored and easily retrievable.
  • Follow Failure Mode and Effective Analysis processes to identify risk and develop countermeasures to minimize and/or eliminate operational impacts from technology failures.
  • Design and execute recovery plans to restore systems and data in the event of a failure or disaster.
  • Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of backup and recovery processes, system configurations, and incident reports.
  • Continuously review site KPIs, develop dashboards, and provide insights to assist in proactive identification of bottlenecks
  • Ensure all backup and recovery processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with other IT teams to coordinate efforts and ensure seamless integration of monitoring, backup, and recovery processes deliver against agreed performance matrix.
  • Evaluate and analyze technologies which support efficient operations, control costs, and ensure maximum production uptime.
  • Prepare reports with the governance office providing visibility to management on the state of operations
  • Provide training and support to staff on backup and recovery procedures.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed within the environment.
