Requirements

  • 2-5 years in purchasing environment with experience developing and executing procurement category strategies.
  • 2-5 years of proven track-record in negotiations
  • 2-5 years of project management experience
  • 2-5 years of knowledge of procurement systems (SAP, Ivalua, Coupa, etc.)
  • Experience in SAP or other similar systems
  • Strong experience managing supplier performance
  • Ability to develop, nurture, and maintain excellent stakeholder and partner supplier relationships
  • Thorough knowledge of automotive, manufacturing or related industries
  • Ability to take on additional special projects in addition to standard responsibilities.
  • MS Office Suite Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or other relevant area.
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Work hand-in-hand with the Scout Commercial Operations team to identify the right suppliers to build and supply parts & services to build our sales, aftersales and retail operations.
  • Establish sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, lead the sourcing process up to and including contract award.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to support the evaluation of suppliers via the RFP process. Work together and collaborate with the diverse Scout business areas.
  • Act as Project Manager and Procurement lead.
  • Prepare and execute commercial negotiations including contractual documents and nomination agreements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5+ years of experience in Sales, After sales and Retail service categories focused on Automotive Industry.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in supporting launch of new retail locations.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement
  • 2-5+ years of experience in Automotive Industry particularly in launch, startup, or new model programs
